- Strong interaction and visual design craft with accessibility knowledge
- Ability to communicate tradeoffs and influence stakeholders across disciplines
Responsibilities
- Design and iterate on Matter across primitives, tokens, components, patterns, and guidelines.
- Establish and maintain governance practices and frameworks balancing platform scale with program needs.
- Communicate system strategy, priorities, and progress to leadership, designers, and engineers to drive alignment.
- Partner across product and engineering teams to identify gaps and design scalable solutions that maximize adoption and consistency.
- Unify visual and interaction direction across web, mobile, XR, and emerging platforms.
- Ensure system quality, craft, and accessibility while grounded in operational realities.
- Manage deprecation and migration of patterns and tooling to ensure smooth transitions.
- Mentor designers and model high craft and system best practices.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Visual Arts, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end systems work and interaction details
