- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Conduct supplier selection and manage approved supplier relationships for assigned products
- Partner with strategic suppliers to scope concepts, perform trade-off analyses, and accelerate joint design development
- Create should-cost / clean-sheet models and lead cost engineering efforts to converge product cost and TCO
- Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOMs with Quality & Manufacturing and manage component qualifications
- Manage CAPEX during NPI and conduct value-stream mapping to optimize lead time and flexibility
- Perform BOM risk assessments, identify alternate sources, and drive component/supplier rationalization
- Address ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs, import/export costs, and inflation
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field (required)
- Master's or advanced technical degree (preferred)
