Responsibilities
- Conduct supplier selection and manage relationships for assigned products using approved supplier lists
- Develop should-cost / clean-sheet models and lead cost engineering to converge bottoms-up cost curves
- Partner with suppliers on concept scoping, trade-off analysis, and joint design development with clear SOWs
- Create and consolidate manufacturing BOMs with Quality & Manufacturing; manage component qualifications
- Perform value-stream mapping to optimize lead time and supply network flexibility
- Manage CAPEX through NPI and handle ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs and inflation
- Drive complexity reduction via component commonality and supplier rationalization
- Develop alternate sourcing strategies and complete BOM risk assessments
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field (required)
- Master's or advanced technical degree (preferred)
