Responsibilities
- Own technical and commercial aspects of the manufacturing value chain for assigned products to ensure scalable production capability.
- Evaluate, plan, and prioritize short- and long-term supply chain, production and test optimizations to meet production and business goals.
- Develop and present business cases for vertical integration or strategic supplier partnerships to accelerate scalability.
- Continuously assess make-vs-buy decisions for subassemblies to optimize total cost of ownership, lead time, and flexibility.
- Work directly with contract manufacturers to develop repeatable processes for quick-turn development and at-scale production/testing.
- Be on site with operations partners to manage technical and commercial needs, resolve production issues, and improve capacity.
- Work hands-on with technicians and engineers building prototypes and production hardware; support hardware integration and testing.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, process flows, and supplier/component rationalization to reduce complexity.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, systems engineering, math, or related hard science (required)
- Advanced degree in engineering or operations-related field (preferred)
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
