Senior Manager, Material Flow Engineering
Skills
- Extensive supply chain and material flow engineering experience in manufacturing environments
- ERP/WMS expertise (Oracle, Odoo or similar) and experience implementing or improving these systems
- Inventory control and high-value inventory management
- Lean manufacturing and value stream mapping
- Data analysis and KPI ownership; experience with SQL or building custom queries
- Experience with MES/WMS integrations and warehouse automation commissioning
- Ability to read technical drawings and understand electronics and mechanical assemblies
- Strong cross-functional communication and leadership to drive change
Responsibilities
- Design and implement material management strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize flow across multiple sites using lean principles
- Collaborate with procurement, production, logistics, and quality to align demand forecasting and procurement planning with production needs
- Own KPIs and reporting (cycle time, throughput, capacity, utilization, inventory accuracy) and drive continuous improvement
- Implement and maintain inventory control programs (cycle counts, audits, reconciliations) to prevent stockouts and overstock
- Use ERP (Oracle) and WMS (Odoo) to track inventory, generate reports, and provide data-driven recommendations
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks related to inventory, layout, staffing, and part shortages across supply chain and manufacturing
- Develop processes and tools (value stream mapping, process mapping, line balancing) to forecast work demand and optimize warehouse operations
- Support scaling solutions from development to full-rate production and commission warehouse automation where required
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality protocols in material handling and storage
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, or related technical field
