Senior Low Observables - Mission Systems Engineer
Skills
- 8+ years R&D experience in RF and antenna engineering
- Proficient with antenna theory (aperture antennas, impedance matching, Smith chart, etc.)
- Experience with antenna prototyping and manufacturing techniques
- Hands-on experience with CEM tools (HFSS, CST, FEKO, SENTRi, ADS)
- Proficient in scripting and analysis tools (MATLAB, Python, C++)
- Antenna measurement experience: anechoic chamber, near-field/far-field, and RCS measurements
- Ability to perform link-budget and system-level RF trades
- Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance (required)
Responsibilities
- Design, simulate, and optimize antennas that meet RF performance while maintaining low radar cross section (RCS) requirements
- Perform link-budget analysis and decompose requirements to support RF system architecture trades (gain, coverage, co-site interference)
- Lead IR&D rapid design and prototyping of antennas to meet emerging program needs
- Develop analysis tools, workflows, and validation processes for antenna predictions and RCS impacts
- Plan and execute antenna performance, RCS, and installed-antenna testing in lab and range environments
- Work with subcontractors and internal teams to integrate antenna systems onto unmanned platforms
- Maintain documentation, test reports, and technical presentations to stakeholders
Education
- BS or higher in a STEM discipline (Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, Physics, or similar)
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in related field preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
