Senior Industrial Engineer, Supply Chain Material Flow
Skills
- 5+ years in high-rate supply chain or manufacturing environments with complex mechanical/electrical assemblies
- Strong data-driven process analysis and KPI ownership
- Ability to read technical drawings and CAD data; understanding of PCBAs, sensors, structures, and electromechanical manufacturing
- Experience with ERP, WMS, MES systems (or equivalent production/warehouse systems)
- Hands-on continuous improvement experience (Lean, value stream mapping, one-piece flow)
- Familiarity with simulation/modeling tools or willingness to adopt them
- SQL or experience querying databases for production/inventory metrics
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments and driving cross-functional change
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and scale material flow and warehouse solutions from development through full-rate production.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks caused by inventory processes, layout, parts shortages, staffing, and other constraints.
- Own production health metrics and KPIs (cycle time, throughput, capacity, utilization, inventory accuracy) and reporting.
- Conduct time studies, value stream mapping, process mapping, and line balancing to improve efficiency.
- Develop workplans and forecasting tools for variable demand across multiple sites and production maturities.
- Translate analytics and simulation outputs into actionable tasks and drive execution on the floor.
- Build and maintain tools to estimate work demand for new facilities and maturing processes.
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Business Operations.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required)
- Relevant certifications or additional coursework in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or supply chain (preferred)
