Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commodity strategies for sensors/mission systems focused on cost reduction, quality, and resilience
- Lead RFIs/RFQs/RFPs and strategic sourcing processes for sensor components and assemblies
- Manage relationships with contract manufacturers, ensuring continuity of supply and leading NPI to MP transitions
- Partner with engineering to influence design for manufacturing, specifications, and component selection
- Perform detailed TCO and supply chain analysis to inform sourcing decisions
- Negotiate commercial agreements covering pricing, delivery, warranties, and service terms
- Own supplier performance management including delivery, quality, cost, and innovation metrics
- Provide technical direction for commodity decisions and present technology reviews to executives
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field (required)
- Bachelor’s in physics, electrical, or mechanical engineering (preferred)
