Skills
- Strong understanding of fundamental flight test processes and principles
- Working knowledge of the National Airspace System and UAS operating rules/regulations
- Experience with test planning, test execution, and test reporting
- Proficient documentation and technical communication skills (written and verbal)
- Comfortable troubleshooting and solving field problems independently
- Strong computer skills for data handling and reporting
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, execute, and report on ground and flight tests for the Roadrunner platform
- Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and safety documentation
- Perform system-level evaluation of hardware and software during development testing
- Collect, analyze, and interpret test data to identify system behaviors and drive product enhancements
- Coordinate test ranges and liaise with external agencies and stakeholders to facilitate testing
- Troubleshoot field-related issues and implement effective, timely solutions
- Ensure safe execution of tests in accordance with established operating procedures and regulations
- Communicate results and recommendations to program leadership and cross-functional teams
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited institution (required)
