Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, and testing of electronics for airborne EO/IR systems including sensor electronics, aircraft interfaces, and power management
- Collaborate with systems engineers to define and refine requirements using physics-based sensor and system performance models
- Oversee and partner on PCB layout and hardware design with the electrical engineering team
- Plan and execute lab, ground, and flight tests; analyze results and provide actionable feedback
- Troubleshoot electronic components and subsystems to ensure reliable performance
- Support system integration efforts and cross-functional technical coordination
- Document designs, test procedures, and results to maintain thorough technical records
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (required)
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in EE or related field (preferred)
