Skills
- Professional programming experience in Python, C++, Rust, or Go
- Experience with spacecraft software systems and spacecraft operations
- Knowledge of satellite mission autonomy, fault isolation, and recovery
- Ability to work with complex, multi-domain system integrations
- Strong debugging, instrumentation, and metrics analysis skills
- Clear technical communication and documentation abilities
- Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret clearance
Responsibilities
- Design and implement on-orbit software capabilities for spacecraft operations and mission management
- Architect orbital software systems and integrate with the Lattice software platform
- Develop algorithms and code for autonomy, fault isolation, and recovery
- Integrate orbital software with legacy systems, payloads, bus platforms, and networking solutions
- Collaborate cross-functionally to plan, build, test, and field mission capabilities
- Create and analyze metrics for debugging, monitoring, and operational performance
- Triage issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate remediation and next-steps
- Partner with mission operators and end-users to translate needs into deployable features
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) desirable for research-heavy or lead roles
