Skills
- Pursuing a Bachelor's in engineering, math, or a hard science (rising senior)
- U.S. Person status required to access Controlled Unclassified Information
- Strong interest in manufacturing and hands-on hardware fabrication/assembly
- Experience or exposure to machining, soldering, PCB assembly, or assembly work
- Familiarity with CAD and ability to read mechanical drawings
- Basic scripting or automation experience (any language) for tooling/process improvements
- Ability to work in-person at Costa Mesa and Santa Ana facilities for the duration of the Co-Op
Responsibilities
- Perform trade studies, design tooling and production solutions, and iterate to approval
- Procure hardware and materials required to implement manufacturing solutions
- Test, verify, and demonstrate manufacturing/process solutions and tooling
- Own portions of the manufacturing value chain for assigned products or assemblies
- Work hands-on with technicians and engineers to build and assemble prototype hardware
- Develop novel fabrication and assembly tooling and break down complex assemblies into manufacturable processes
- Write work instructions, quality plans, inspection criteria, and production documentation
- Contribute to mechanical/electrical design considerations related to manufacturability, interconnects, and PCBA inspection
Education
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's program in engineering, math, or a hard science
- Must be a rising senior at time of the internship and returning to school after the internship
- Eligible to work in the U.S. (U.S. Person status required)
