- Experience with integration, test, and productization of complex aerospace systems
- Ability to perform and interpret technical trade-offs to meet mission objectives
- Experience mentoring and aligning engineering teams around a technical vision
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret clearance
Responsibilities
- Lead systems engineering processes and ensure alignment with mission and customer requirements.
- Define and drive system architecture and high‑level technical decisions balancing performance, cost, and schedule.
- Oversee air vehicle systems design, fabrication, testing, and productization from prototype to production.
- Run technical trade studies and collaborate with subject matter experts to close DoD capability gaps.
- Manage subsystem and system-level requirements, optimization, risk management, and validation.
- Ensure integration and test planning/execution for prototypes and deployed systems.
- Produce and review technical documentation including BOMs, design packages, and manufacturing inputs.
- Propose and supervise internal R&D to advance product capabilities.
- Mentor engineering teams and promote cross-discipline collaboration and technical excellence.
- Act as technical lead in engagements with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering or equivalent experience
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in engineering or related field preferred
