Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for coatings, including LO and survivability applications
- Collaborate with design, engineering, production, and quality teams to integrate coating processes into hardware designs
- Use metrics and data analysis to identify systemic process issues and implement corrective actions
- Apply first-principles thinking to design innovative, manufacturable solutions
- Create manufacturing documentation: work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements
- Work hands-on with technicians and engineers to build and iterate prototype and production hardware
- Support vendor sourcing and supplier process alignment where applicable
- Facilitate cross-functional communication to meet project timelines and goals
Education
- Degree in engineering, mathematics, or a hard science (required)
- Advanced degree in materials or engineering (preferred)
