Skills
- Thorough knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 and NISPOM requirements
- Experience with DISS, NISS, e-QIP, and ISFD
- Ability to read and interpret Security Classification Guides (SCGs)
- COMSEC custodian knowledge and classified material handling
- Experience conducting security self-inspections, audits, and SVAs
- Familiarity with badge/access control and alarm systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Responsibilities
- Administer day-to-day industrial security program activities (personnel processing, document control, inventories, audits, self-inspections, violation investigations).
- Ensure compliance with 32 CFR Part 117, NISPOM, DD Form 254 requirements, and Security Classification Guides (SCGs).
- Maintain and update security systems (DISS, NISS, SIMS) and process related changes and requests.
- Coordinate and support Open Storage Area (OSA) buildouts, restricted area accreditation, and collateral facility management.
- Coordinate and conduct Security Vulnerability Assessments (SVA), annual self-inspections, and prepare corrective action reports.
- Provide security training and briefings (indoctrinations, debriefings, foreign travel, OPSEC, COMSEC handling).
- Manage and mentor Assistant FSOs and other local security staff.
- Interface with program management, classified IT, insider threat/counterintelligence, physical security, and government stakeholders.
- Oversee facility badge access, courier authorizations, and enforce foreign contact/travel/escort procedures.
- Prepare inputs for RFPs/BAAs, review PWS/SOWs for security requirements, and maintain required hard-copy files and reporting.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4 years) required
- Facility Program Management for Possessing Facilities certification required
- DISS/NISS training required
- Current or ability to obtain Industrial Security Professional (ISP) certification
