- Full-cycle PCB design including schematic capture, component selection, layout, bring-up, and validation.
- Digital and analog circuit design and troubleshooting to identify root causes and implement design improvements.
- Experience with test equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, thermal chamber, current probe) and test automation.
- Understanding of power electronics including switch-mode power supply design and testing.
- Familiarity with standard interfaces (Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB) and common MCU/CPU/FPGA devices.
- Proficiency with Altium or equivalent EDA tools and scripting (Python, MATLAB) for automation and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Own electrical integration activities and act as primary point of contact for electrical design and integration.
- Design, layout, bring-up, test, debug, validate, and integrate PCBs and electrical subsystems for embedded compute and power systems.
- Provide hands-on prototype and in-field support for both prototype and production hardware.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, firmware, and test teams to meet system-level reliability, EMC, size/weight/power, and manufacturability requirements.
- Select and trade off components and modules considering SWaP, EMC, reliability, and production constraints.
- Identify high-risk electrical areas and drive verification and long-term reliability testing and mitigation.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
- Relevant technical training or equivalent hands-on experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance required.
