CAD Design Engineer
Skills
- 5+ years designing tools, tooling, equipment, and processes for manufacturing
- Proven ability to develop CAD models for large-scale manufacturing systems
- Hands-on experience working on the manufacturing floor alongside operations and engineering
- Experience supporting production system design, tooling, and commissioning
- Clearances/eligibility: must be a U.S. Person for export-controlled work
Responsibilities
- Create detailed CAD models for parts, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment to support production systems and digital twins.
- Support design and development of production layouts, material flow, and integrated metrology to enable lean manufacturing.
- Collaborate with manufacturing technology, product design, manufacturing engineering, operations, facilities, ESH, finance, and vendors to deliver production-ready systems and commissioned facilities.
- Work hands-on in manufacturing environments to validate, iterate, and optimize production designs and processes.
- Lead and expedite projects, setting an example through direct engagement and execution.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field preferred
- Relevant technical training or certifications in CAD, manufacturing, or tooling are a plus
