- 3+ years production-grade C++ and/or Rust development on Linux
- Strong data processing and analysis experience
- Experience with autonomy-related algorithms (SLAM, motion planning, controls, estimation)
- Ability to read and work within large, complex codebases
- Experience with distributed systems and communications
- Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Top Secret security clearance
- Comfort with field testing and travel to deploy capabilities
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain production-grade autonomy software in C++/Rust in a Linux environment
- Develop algorithms and systems for perception, motion planning, SLAM, controls, and estimation
- Integrate and test multi-agent behaviors and distributed communications on real platforms
- Collaborate with Perception, Motion Planning, Hardware, and Test Engineering to move capabilities from concept to deployed product
- Analyze and process large volumes of sensor and telemetry data to improve algorithms and system performance
- Navigate and extend complex, established codebases while ensuring software safety and reliability
- Travel (up to 30%) to build, test, and deploy systems in operational environments
Education
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
