The Loss Control Specialist II will work as a business consultant, sharing their knowledge and experience to affect positive change in many types of businesses. The consultant will work with our policyholders to improve working conditions, employee safety and health conditions will make recommendations that protect the life and property of our policyholders and their customers, etc. The consultant's knowledge of the individual clients varying industries and businesses is shared with our underwriters and senior management to assist them in making positive business decisions for AmTrust North America. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.
1. Provide loss control technical consultation and evaluation to underwriting for the selection of new and renewal commercial, multi-line business.2. Prepare reports, analyzes data, and identifies injury and/or accidental trends to assist underwriters and insured management in making business decisions.3. Provide ongoing technical support to policyholders, producers, and other customers to comply with safety and health regulations, make recommendations that will reduce losses and solve business problems.4. Assist our segment partners in meeting goals, outlined in both the local loss control and regional office operating plans.5. Keeps current with market trends and demands.6. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Required:• 3+ years of insurance industry experience relating to the workers compensation, property, general liability, product liability and auto lines of business and the associated exposures and controls required• Professional designation such as CIH, CSP, Associate in Risk Management (ARM), or other applicable designation preferred• Extremely well-organized self-starter with strong technical and relationship building skills• Work experience in loss control is a must, especially in the areas of workers compensation, property, liability and fleet• Excellent organization, planning, project management and time management skills• Ability to influence and motivate others, both internal and externalPreferred:• A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred• Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10 & OSHA General outreach program authorization preferredThis job description is designed to provide a general overview of the requirements of the job and does not entail a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties, or responsibilities that will be required in this position.
