Skills
- Strong knowledge of government contracting principles, FAR and DFARS, and cost accounting standards.
- Advanced financial analysis skills including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Proficiency in Deltek, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Costpoint, Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, and advanced Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication to present financial information to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work cross-functionally, and meet deadlines independently and collaboratively.
- Experience supporting audits and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and financial models to support government contracts.
- Monitor and manage contract costs, perform cost-benefit analyses, and identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making and long-term planning.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS), cost accounting standards, and internal policies.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and addressing findings.
- Assist in reviewing financial terms during contract negotiations and assess financial risks and mitigations.
- Collaborate with project managers, contract administrators, and stakeholders to provide financial guidance across the contract lifecycle.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field (required).
- MBA or CPA (preferred).
