The Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) team is responsible for creating marketplace demand and driving commerce for American Express products and services through differentiated and innovative branding, marketing, and experiences. We have an ambitious goal: to be the most admired brand in the Fortune 500 and we aim to deliver on that by doing work that is both creative and effective. The OnBrand Creative Agency sits within GABM. We aspire to be the creative partner-of-choice to build seamless customer experiences for our Business Units, essential for driving results and unlocking value through deeper knowledge of our business powered by industry-defining creative excellence”. We are focused on developing forward thinking ideas and work across channels, end-to-end experiences in digital and beyond. We are seeking a Senior Designer.

The Senior Designer, OnBrand, reporting to and collaborating closely with the Design Director will be responsible for concepting and designing best-in-class creative and marketing communications. Besides having award-winning design skills, the candidate will be a key member of a creative team working with clients that demand perfection.

Responsibilities:

  • Expertly leverage our brand visual identity to concept and design compelling marketing creative, visual identity systems, and digital experiences across high priority American Express marketing journeys.
  • Provide oversight for and mentor junior creatives and specialists.
  • Be a passionate advocate for creative, design, and marketing trends, with proven ability to infuse trends into creative work.
  • Clearly and confidently present and defend creative work.
  • Be a passionate advocate for the customer, providing creative guidance to internal partners and helping to build a strong culture that values creative thought leadership.

Qualifications:

  •  6+ years of professional design experience with a focus on holistic marketing journeys, branding, visual identity systems, and digital design. Creative portfolio that includes high-quality, brand-focused design work.
  • Proficient with Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat), Sketch and Microsoft office.
  • Proven ability to implement brand guidelines, concept and deliver bold, effective campaign concepts across digital, traditional, and experiential mediums.
  • Strong communications skills and an ability to present work intelligently and concisely in internal review and stakeholder meetings.
  • You are an expert and love all things Package design, Branding/VI and identity.
  • Ability to work with a Project Management tool (e.g., Workfront).

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
