This role is responsible for designing, building, deploying, and maintaining interfaces and data flows between diverse health information systems, leveraging integration engines such as Rhapsody, Mirth Connect, or similar platforms. The Integration Engineer works closely with public health professionals, IT teams, and vendors to ensure seamless, secure, and reliable data exchange critical to supporting public health initiatives and improving population health outcomes.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Serve as a technical liaison between IT teams, public health departments, vendors, and external partners. Provide training and technical support to end-users and colleagues as necessary.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies and standards in healthcare interoperability and contribute to the ongoing improvement of integration practices within the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and keen attention to data quality and security.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple integration projects and deliver results within set timeframes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications
