Skills
- Proven experience building high‑scale ingestion from APIs, feeds, and web data with strong SLAs
- Hands‑on Python and SQL for schema/model design and PR reviews
- Deep familiarity with Snowflake, object storage (S3), dbt, and Airflow
- Experience with data quality frameworks (Great Expectations/Soda) and data cataloging
- Analytics tooling experience: Amplitude, Tableau, Metabase and experiment design
- Practical experience building LLM/agent systems and RAG pipelines in production
- Monitoring, alerting, SLO definition, and incident runbooks
- Experience scaling and leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
Responsibilities
- Own ETL/ELT pipelines ingesting listings and sales from APIs, feeds, and compliant web scraping, ensuring coverage, freshness, and low latency.
- Design and operate data pipelines, entity resolution, outlier detection/cleansing, and the internal asset catalog to expand proprietary datasets.
- Set and monitor SLOs for freshness, latency, and accuracy; implement monitoring, alerting, and runbooks for data incidents.
- Lead analytics engineering: provide a self‑service metrics layer, executive dashboards, event taxonomy, and instrumentation (Amplitude) for funnels, GMV, liquidity, and SLAs.
- Design and deliver AI agents and automations to replace manual workflows (e.g., listing QA, pricing suggestions, dispute routing, KYC review).
- Partner with Product, Ops, Risk, and Finance to prioritize automations by ROI and shipped impact.
- Translate business goals into a clear roadmap with quarterly outcomes; manage hiring, vendors, and budgets.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a relevant field preferred but not required
