We work with education systems to advance AI Literacy and AI Readiness. We do this by working with education systems, and developing with high quality curriculum professional development and strategic partnerships.


Role

The Senior Lead, Professional Learning will be responsible for the vision and production of our AI Readiness Professional Learning (PL) for educators, including teachers, school leaders, and district administrators. They will establish the quality bar and framework for AI Readiness PL materials, decide on content revision and expansion plans, and manage the design and implementation processes for PL. The Senior Lead, Professional Learning will work with our Programs team to determine demand from partners and support with leading partner specific PL. They will also lead all national PL work, including (but not limited to), national webinars, cohort based learning (e.g., PLCs, Trailblazers), and asynchronous content development (e.g., Mighty Network courses, SCORM compliant short courses, educator resources). The Senior Lead, Professional Learning will lead facilitate in-person and virtual learning sessions. 

Professional Learning is a centerpiece of our programing and essential to supporting aiEDUs mission of ensuring all students are prepared to thrive in a world where AI is ubiquitous. As a member of the Learning team, the Senior Lead, Professional Learning is a critical contributor to our overall content strategy to support educators in building AI Readiness.


Role Details

  • This is a full-time role
  • Some travel is required (~1 time a month)
  • This role does sometimes require facilitation of early morning and/or later evening sessions across timezones. 
  • Compensation for this role is $125,000 - $135,000

Responsibilities

Strategic Direction Setting

  • Collaborate with the Director, Learning on setting and executing on the PL roadmap, designing and implementation processes, and vision for PL success
  • Support the ongoing revision of and building examples for the AI Readiness Framework
  • Manage partnerships around professional learning efforts (e.g., co-faciliated webinars, partner PLCs)
  • Support internal team learning and application of AI readiness to our work

Professional Learning Quality 

  • Develop criteria for quality AI Readiness professional learning that leverages best practices in adult learning and up-to-date research on AI use
  • In collaboration with the Director, Learning and Lead, Research and Evaluation, establish data collection and analysis process for all PL & use data to inform improvements across all PL offerings
  • Ensure all PL materials are highly engaging, practical, usable by multiple team members, and current

Professional Learning Production

  • Manage design of all PL products 
  • Coordinate with Programs, External and Communication teams in PL is current based on program needs and current AI landscape and implementations are shared in appropriate channels
  • Collaborate with Programs teams on program specific implementations (e.g., review materials, co-design new content, facilitate)

Professional Learning Implementation

  • Deliver highly engaging virtual and in-person AI Readiness professional learning session
  • Engage in review of implementations to assess strengths and areas of improvement of base content
  • Engage in coaching on facilitation with Director, Learning to continuously strengthen facilitation practices

Impact and Innovation

  • Establish key impact metrics and ability to track progress towards those metrics
  • Innovate around the use of AI in various educational contexts and in the work of designing & implementing PL to drive efficiency and quality 

About You

You might be a great match for this role if you have:

  • 10+ years of experience teaching students and/or coaching and leading teachers, with a preference for leadership experience
  • Expertise in AI Readiness, fluency with AI tools, and an innovative approach to using them
  • Strong track record of student and adult learning gains
  • Expertise in best practices in adult learning, focused on practice-based learning
  • Expertise in leading design of asynchronous and synchronous adult learning experiences, including all relevant materials.
  • Agility to use multiple technologies (e.g., Google Suite, Canva, Slack, Mighty Network, Articulate) across multiple projects  
  • Clear and timely communication
  • Looks for and applies feedback
