SUMMARY 


The Information Management Division (IMD) is the directorate within DACID responsible for all Information Technology (IT) related activities. IMD is currently in the process of developing and implementing a new Case Management System (CMS). The CMS will continue integrating existing and future core Law Enforcement (LE) information and business enterprise systems into the Criminal Investigative Management Systems (CIMS) environment under the direction of the Chief of Staff of the Army. The objective of this new CMS enterprise environment is to provide US Army LE stakeholders the enhanced capability to rapidly and efficiently manage a variety of LE and Criminal Intelligence (CrimIntel) functions, as well as a broader range of senior executive reporting requirements.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


· Responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, debugging, and implementing software. Troubleshoots production problems relating to software applications. Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on government requirements. Analyzes information to recommend, design, and plan development of new applications or modify existing ones. Applies coding and testing standards, security testing tools including "fuzzing" static-analysis code scanning tools, and conduct code reviews. Designs, develops, and modifies software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequence of design. Determine and document software patches or the extent of releases that would leave software vulnerable. Conducts trial runs of programs and software applications to ensure the desired information is produced and instructions and security levels are correct. Develop secure code, error handling, software system testing, validation procedures, programming and documentation common criteria, and methods of independent testing. Ability to collaborate effectively with others.

Education, Background, and Years of Experience


· MA/MS in Information Technology with concentration on software

· development and 10 years experience or BA/BS in Information

· Technology with concentration on software development and 5 years

· experience or . Closed completed T5 (SSBI, SBPR, PPR)

· investigation with eligibility to Top Secret.


ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS


Required Skills

· Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on the development team. Participates in the development of software user manuals. Translate security requirements into application design elements including documenting the elements of the software attack surfaces, conducting threat modeling, and defining any specific security criteria and addressing security implications in the software acceptance phase including completion criteria, risk acceptance and documentation, common criteria, and methods of independent testing. Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
