Skills
- Design, develop and launch backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin.
- Build and maintain highly available distributed systems with AWS, MySQL, Kubernetes, and containerization.
- Experience with scalable infrastructure components including CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins, Buildkite, GitHub Actions.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code with extensible design principles.
- Experience safely managing significant changes in large codebases with tooling and best practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication for effective global collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team while guiding engineers through ambiguous, open-ended challenges.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during product development to articulate technical constraints and risks.
- Identify project, process, technology or business issues and lead efforts to resolve them.
- Support operational availability by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating issues, and participating in on-call rotations.
- Foster a culture of quality and ownership through code review, design standards, and sharing best practices across teams.
- Develop team talent by providing feedback, mentorship, and leading by example.
