The Lead Analyst, Government Relations, plays a pivotal role in developing, maintaining, and responding to policies and programs that ensure the organization's awareness of government legislation and energy policy issues that impact its operations. This role involves representing and protecting the organization's interests in legislative proceedings and the development of market policy and procedures. The incumbent organizes forums and gatherings with government officials to facilitate the exchange of ideas and information on business activities and potential legislation that may affect the organization. Additionally, they serve as a resource on regulatory matters related to market changes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review, research, analyze, and communicate the potential impact of clean energy and related policy proposals and decisions that may impact development of clean energy
• Work with internal teams (Development, Commercial, Finance, Operations) to identify policy analysis needs and determine impacts of potential policy on business outcomes
• Facilitate and support the incorporation of policy analysis into market strategy and outlook, ensuring a shared comprehension of the immediacy of the impact of state policy risks and opportunities on our short- and long-term portfolio goals
• Specifically, enable incorporation of a thorough comprehension of legislation passed into the AESCE portfolio outlook
• Develop meaningful communication and notification tools best suited for various priorities and stakeholders (both internal and external)
• Ensure key issues and opportunities are communicated in a timely way
• Assist with the development of State Policy Plans as needed
• Analyze data to extract insights and develop recommendations.
