Job Description

AECOM Technical Services Inc. is seeking a Environmental Engineering III in Austin, TX.

Job details:

  • Perform major portions of assigned water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure related projects.
  • Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
  • Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving design calculations, preparation of technical memorandum, preparation of contract documents such as specifications and drawings.
  • Propose approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
  • Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
  • Perform all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
  • Provide guidance to graduate engineers to complement disciplines, subconsultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a related occupation.
  • Alternatively, employer will accept Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

Position requires:

  1. Conventional water supply and treatment processes;
  2. Conventional wastewater collection and treatment processes;
  3. Setting up pipeline hydraulic models, using third party software such PipeNet;
  4. Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
  5. Pump/lift station design;
  6. Pipeline route analysis; and
  7. Using national recognized engineering software such as BioWIN, SUMO, WaterGems, StormCAD, or others.
