AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Philadelphia on October 9-10, 2025. This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026.

The event kicks off on Thursday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm, where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.

On Friday, interviews will take place at our Philadelphia office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Entry-Level Civil/Water Resources Engineer for the Germantown, Maryland office. This position will support ongoing water resources and site civil engineering projects across the DC-Metro/Mid-Atlantic region.

This position is expected to begin in spring/summer 2026.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final work drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree emphasis in water resources.
• Experience with Hydrologic/Hydraulic models.
• Experience with stormwater management and flood mitigation.
• Experience with standard computer software for the position (e.g. AutoCAD and ArcGIS).
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office Programs and capable of using spreadsheets, word processing, and standard office software.
• Engineer-in-Training.
• Strong desire to learn along with professional drive.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A strong sense of commitment and a desire to work in a dynamic deadline-driven environment.

• Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
• This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in-office work in Germantown, MD. The selected candidate must be available to work in Germantown, MD on a scheduled basis
