Skills
- Knowledge of US GAAP principles relating to Software, SaaS, and Professional Services revenue recognition.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce (SFDC).
- Familiarity with general ledger systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Intacct.
- Strong analytical and multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Operations to address contractual issues before execution.
- Ensure revenue transactions comply with US GAAP (ASC 606) standards.
- Review customer arrangements for proper revenue recognition.
- Maintain and reconcile deferred revenue and unbilled receivables accounts.
- Support the fair value analysis across product lines.
- Calculate monthly relative sales value allocations.
- Prepare commission accruals and capitalized commission calculations per ASC340-40.
- Document material revenue transactions following company policy.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports for management.
- Assist with quarterly revenue audits and auditor inquiries.
- Identify and aid in process improvements within revenue accounting.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
