Marketing Manager: Performance & Market Growth

A1 Garage Door Service is seeking an experienced and results-driven Marketing Manager: Performance & Market Growth to lead performance-focused marketing initiatives with an emphasis on ROI tracking, efficiency, and multi-channel optimization. This role will be instrumental in ensuring marketing investments translate into measurable business outcomes, including lead generation, booked jobs, and topline growth.

While you’ll play a role in greenfield launches and acquisition integrations, your primary focus will be performance marketing: analyzing campaigns, optimizing spend, and ensuring our investments work harder every month. You’ll work side-by-side with internal channel leads (SEO, Paid Digital, Email/SMS, Social, Content) and external partners, with direct accountability for managing millions in media spend. This includes overseeing print and traditional media, managing vendor performance, and delivering leadership the insights they need to make fast, data-driven decisions.

We operate in 30+ markets, thrive on high performance, ownership, and teamwork. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who is both analytical and strategic, comfortable diving into Excel or Tableau to uncover insights, confident holding agencies accountable for ROI, and excited to help fuel A1’s national expansion.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Performance & ROI Tracking (Primary Focus)

  • Continuously monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance across all channels.

  • Track cost per lead (CPL), booked-job conversion rates, ROI, and overall efficiency of marketing spend.

  • Provide clear and actionable recommendations for reallocating budget to maximize utilization and results.

  • Develop and deliver executive-ready reporting on lead goals, channel efficiency, and revenue impact.

  • Measure and report on Cost of Marketing as a % of revenue, supporting strategies to improve efficiency by targeted reductions.

2. Multi-Channel Campaign Oversight

  • Manage print and traditional media planning, execution, and vendor relationships.

  • Partner with internal leads across SEO, SEM, Social, Email, and Aggregators to align campaigns with ROI goals.

  • Tailor performance-driven strategies to fit local market needs, leveraging regional data and insights.

  • Manage and hold external agencies accountable for pacing, ROI, and deliverables through ongoing oversight and quarterly business reviews.

3. Greenfield & Acquisition Support

  • Support marketing strategies for new market launches and acquisition integrations, ensuring brand consistency and lead generation.

  • Oversee execution of acquisition-related marketing tasks (digital assets, GMB updates, press releases, redirects).

  • Provide performance reviews and improvement recommendations for channel efficiency in new and acquired markets.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales and Operations to align marketing activity with technician capacity and revenue goals.

  • Partner with leadership to ensure marketing strategies directly support market-level growth objectives.

  • Act as a strategic partner, stepping in to solve problems, fill gaps, and drive initiatives forward.

5. Budget Management

  • Develop, monitor, and optimize marketing budgets across channels and markets with an emphasis on ROI.

  • Manage resource allocation to support both short-term efficiency and long-term growth.

  • Direct accountability for $12–15M in annual media spend, with responsibility for accurate pacing, reporting, and reallocation.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Performance Marketing Expertise: Proven ability to track CPL, booked jobs, ROI, and drive measurable efficiency improvements.

  • Multi-Channel Oversight: Experience managing traditional media (print, direct mail, broadcast) while collaborating with digital channel leads.

  • Greenfield & Acquisition Knowledge: Familiarity with launching new markets and supporting acquisition integration.

  • Analytics & Insights: Ability to leverage data using tools like Excel and BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI) for decision-making and campaign optimization.

  • Collaboration: Adept at working cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and vendors.

  • Budget Management: Experience building and managing large marketing budgets with a performance mindset.

  • Communication: Strong ability to translate data into insights and recommendations for leadership.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-output environment; comfortable wearing multiple hats, problem-solving, and working with a high-performance team.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.

  • 5+ years of performance marketing experience, preferably in a multi-location or service-based environment.

  • Proven experience managing traditional media alongside digital stakeholders.

  • Greenfield and acquisition marketing background preferred but not required.
