About the Role
As an Assistant Community Property Manager at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the apartment community, with a focus on administrative tasks, rent collection, resident communication, and financial support. This position ensures operational continuity by stepping in as acting manager during absences and fostering an organized and responsive community office environment.

You will collaborate with the Community Property Manager, residents, vendors, and maintenance staff to ensure smooth operations and a high-quality living experience for residents. This is an on-site role located in Casa Grande FLATZ 387.

This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and excels in both customer service and administrative functions.

What You’ll Do

  • Assists with day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring efficient office workflows and timely resident support.

  • Responds to resident inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and urgency.

  • Processes rent payments, issues late notices, and enforces collection policies in alignment with company procedures.

  • Supports leasing and renewal processes by preparing documentation, coordinating tours and inspections, and maintaining accurate lease files.

  • Manages move-in and move-out coordination, including scheduling, unit inspections, and readiness of units.

  • Submits and tracks invoices, assists with budget adherence, and maintains accurate financial records.

  • Coordinates with vendors and processes service requests to ensure timely maintenance.

  • Acts as the on-site lead in the absence of the Community Property Manager to maintain continuity of operations.

  • Maintains accurate resident files and ledgers in compliance with Fair Housing laws and lease requirements.

  • Promotes and upholds healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

  • 2–5 years of experience in property management, leasing, or administrative support in a residential setting.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or training in business administration, leasing, or property management preferred.

  • CAM (Certified Apartment Manager) or CALP (Certified Apartment Leasing Professional) designation is a plus.

  • Fair Housing and TAA Lease training are expected.

  • Eligible to work in the United States.

  • Working knowledge of property operations, leasing practices, and Fair Housing regulations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and property management systems such as Yardi or similar platforms.

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service orientation.

  • Ability to resolve resident concerns tactfully and maintain professionalism under pressure.

  • Confident in assuming leadership responsibilities when required.

Compensation & Benefits
Below is the expected base salary range for this position. This is a good-faith estimate, and offers will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.

Base Salary Range:
Additional compensation may include:
✔ Performance-based yearly merit increase
✔ Profit-sharing bonus opportunities

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly navigates the property during various weather conditions for tours, inspections, and events.

  • Stands and walks for extended periods.

  • Occasionally lifts or carries up to 50 pounds of packages, office supplies, leasing materials, or event equipment.

  • Maintains visual ability to inspect apartment units and common areas for cleanliness, safety, and readiness.
