We’re hiring a Principal Product Manager- AI to lead a highly strategic new product for Xero. This is a unique role where you’ll be the “startup PM” for a small team. We’re looking for someone who’s a builder, has either founded or worked in early stage startups, is deeply customer obsessed, goes deep into user needs, has a keen eye for design, can creatively reinvent products with AI, and has a hustle “move fast” mindset. This role will start off as a senior IC role to begin with, but could grow over time.

We’re looking for this candidate to be based on West Coast US or London, hybrid.

• Set strategic direction for the new AI product
• Deeply scope out user needs and product features
• Work closely with design to reimagine the interaction mechanism and UX
• Work closely with AI and eng teams to build and iterate quickly
• Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to incorporate into your product thinking
• Communicate strategy and updates with execs and stakeholders
• Ship quickly!

• Experience founding or working in a startup
• Experience building AI products 
• Experience setting strategy for and building user-facing 0-1 products
