Sr. Product Manager, Retention

Company Description

Vuori is re-defining what athletic apparel looks like: built to move and sweat in but designed with a casual aesthetic to transition into everyday life. We draw inspiration from an active coastal California lifestyle; an integration of fitness, creative expression and life. Our high energy fast paced retail environment is reflected in the clothes we make. We aim to inspire others to take on all aspects of their lives with clarity, enthusiasm and purpose…while having a lot of fun along the way. We are proud to be an outlet for opportunity and for personal growth and success.

Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and results driven Sr. Product Manager, Retention to own the vision, strategy, and execution of technology capabilities that drive customer retention, loyalty, and lifetime value. This role will be responsible to partner across marketing, CRM, engineering, and analytics to build & modernize loyalty programs, personalize lifecycle journeys, implementing comprehensive retention strategies that leverage data-driven insights and scale retention infrastructure to increase repeat purchase rates and reduce churn.

The ideal candidate will be skilled at collaborating cross-functionally to ensure loyalty initiatives are seamlessly integrated across all customer touchpoints, including eCommerce, retail, and mobile platforms. You will evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to optimize loyalty and rewards systems, drive engagement through compelling offers, and continually measure the impact of retention efforts to maximize customer lifetime value. In addition, you will lead the evaluation and implementation of CRM platforms, ensuring they are effectively integrated with marketing and loyalty technologies to support personalized customer journeys, robust segmentation, and data-driven lifecycle marketing strategies.

What you'll get to do:

Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define product vision and roadmap for retention marketing stack (loyalty, CRM/CDP, marketing automation, personalization engines).
  • Align roadmap with retention KPIs: repeat purchase rate, LTV, churn reduction, loyalty enrollment & engagement.

Platform Capabilities & Development

  • Lead evaluation, integration, and optimization of loyalty program technology, subscription management, rewards/redemption systems, and lifecycle marketing tools.
  • Drive personalization at scale through segmentation, predictive analytics, and dynamic messaging.

Execution & Delivery

  • Collaborate with engineering to deliver new retention capabilities (e.g., omnichannel loyalty, points accrual across POS/eComm, tiered loyalty models, referral engines).
  • Partner with data & analytics to instrument retention dashboards and measure incremental ROI.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work with Marketing Ops, CRM, and Site Merch teams to design loyalty program benefits, campaigns, and user experiences.
  • Ensure seamless customer experience across eCommerce, retail, and mobile app touchpoints.

Stakeholder Engagement & Influence

  • Partner closely with senior leaders in Marketing, CRM, Analytics and Ecomm to define retention needs, align priorities, and communicate results.
  • Translate complex business questions into technical requirements for engineering
  • Act as a thought partner for the CRM

Innovation & Test-and-Learn

  • Establish experimentation frameworks for loyalty offers, retention campaigns, and personalization rules.
  • Track emerging loyalty/retention trends (gamification, NFT/tokenized rewards, surprise-and-delight) and evaluate fit.

Qualifications

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or equivalent a plus or equivalent years of experience preferred.
  • 8+ years in product management, with at least 4+ years focused on CRM, loyalty, retention marketing, or lifecycle technologies in D2C.
  • Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of retention KPIs, customer segmentation, lifecycle marketing, personalization, and loyalty program mechanics (tiers, accrual/redemption, subscription models).
  • Technical Acumen: Hands-on experience with CDPs (e.g., Hightouch, Segment), ESPs/marketing automation (Klaviyo, Braze, Iterable), loyalty platforms, and experimentation frameworks.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to partner with analytics and data science teams to define instrumentation, build dashboards, and run controlled experiments (A/B, multivariate).
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Track record of collaborating with engineering, marketing, and operations to launch customer-facing experiences at scale.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Deep empathy for customer journeys, with proven ability to design seamless omnichannel experiences across eCommerce, retail, and mobile.
