Account Growth Manager

Vonage is a global cloud communications leader helping businesses accelerate digital transformation through programmable communications, contact center solutions, and communications APIs. The Account Growth Manager will own technical-commercial performance for a small book of strategic messaging accounts, driving routing strategy, margin optimization, and traffic quality through data-driven insights and close cross-functional collaboration.

Skills

  • Proficiency in SMS routing and A2P messaging standards
  • Experience interpreting and improving performance metrics such as completion rate (CR) and delivery success
  • Strong analytical ability with tools like Tableau to convert traffic data into actionable routing and margin changes
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Carrier Partnerships, and Operations
  • Ability to manage escalations and work under time-sensitive conditions

Responsibilities

  • Manage performance and growth of 1–3 high-value messaging accounts with focus on routing quality, margin optimization, and traffic growth
  • Monitor account traffic daily and execute routing strategies to meet defined financial and quality targets
  • Design, test, and maintain custom routing configurations aligned to account-specific cost vs. quality needs
  • Analyze completion rates, delivery trends, and market dynamics to identify optimization opportunities
  • Act as the technical and commercial advocate for assigned accounts, coordinating internal resolution of routing or delivery escalations
  • Collaborate as part of a triad with Sales and Customer Success to produce coordinated account plans, QBRs, and performance reviews
  • Serve as Tier 2/3 escalation point for routing and SMS quality issues, working with Carrier Partnerships and technical teams
  • Use Tableau and internal reporting to track account health, growth metrics, and quality KPIs

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
  • Relevant telecom, CPaaS, or technical account management experience preferred
