Pros
Honestly, the company does things right in a lot of ways. Our DEI is very well recognized and we take active measures to make sure that all backgrounds, cultures, beliefs and the like are honored and recognized. I have worked at places that say they have DEI, but never at the level that Volley has shown. I feel very welcomed at Volley. We have accrued PTO (4 weeks per year) vs some pseudo "unlimited" PTO non-sense that's really just a way to limit time employees take off. Unlimited sick time off that is not the same category as planned time off, so if you are sick, stay home, rest up and get better The company believes in being candid. If you are doing well, we celebrate with you, if you are doing poorly, there is clear guidance on how you can turn that around. Of course on top of all of this, we have the standard perks, meals in office, food stipend for wfh. Commute stipend. Travel allotment for remote employees. Snacks galore and plenty of fun activities.Cons
People can get a sense they need to work to much being the company is still a startup. There's a sense that you need to grind. That said, the company is taking proactive steps to manage burnout by detecting it early and setting great work/life balance standards.Volley is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Hub Team to lead experimentation and deliver cross-platform user experiences that drive acquisition, retention, and monetization for its AI-powered games.
