Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of litigation including commercial disputes, patent litigation, and auto liability claims.
- Oversee case strategy, discovery, drafting motions, and managing outside counsel.
- Represent Via in mediations and arbitrations to secure favorable outcomes.
- Develop internal processes for insurance-backed litigation and regulatory matters.
- Provide legal advice to Operations, Partnerships, and Product teams on regulatory and compliance matters.
- Conduct legal research on novel business model questions and monitor legislation impacts.
- Support legal responses to third-party subpoenas and information requests.
Education
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Admission to at least one U.S. state bar (New York preferred).
