Purpose

Serve as the Administrator of Disability & Access Services in the School of Law, providing disability accommodations and access leadership and processes, student advising and counseling, and supporting programming and events.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Assistant Director for Academic Success, administer and implement accommodations for law students with disabilities. Manage and administer accommodated exams. Act as subject matter expert within the Law School on disability accommodations and access. Recommend and implement improved procedures and policies for disability accommodations and access. Act as liaison between students and faculty, the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, and the University Disability & Access Office. Provide information and advice to students seeking accommodations in the Law School and on licensing exams. Serve as primary advisor to the Texas Law Disability & Neurodivergent Alliance.

  • Work with the director of student affairs and the law school CARE counselor to support wellness programming.

  • Provide individual and group executive functioning coaching.

  • Serve as a member of the Student Affairs Office team, including providing student advising and counseling and supporting programming and events.

  • Related duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree. At least three years of experience administering or developing student programs. Excellent analytical, verbal and written communications skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Attention to detail. Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds, interests, and abilities. Ability to work well as a part of a team and to collaborate with other student affairs staff and members of the Law School and UT community. Experience working with students with disabilities.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

More than required education and/or experience.

Salary

$65,000 + depending on qualifications

Employment Eligibility:

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
