Vascular Technologist/ Sonographer
Skills
- RVT, RVS, or RPhS certification (or eligible to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency performing duplex vascular ultrasound and image acquisition
- Experience assisting in endovenous procedures and minor surgical support
- Basic Life Support (AHA) certification
- Strong patient communication and documentation skills
- Familiarity with clinic workflows and EMR documentation
- Ability to maintain credentials and complete CME hours
Responsibilities
- Perform ordered duplex ultrasound examinations and vascular imaging studies
- Assist physicians during endovenous laser ablation and microphlebectomy procedures
- Conduct patient evaluations, document findings, and complete exam reports
- Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment and ensure proper infection control
- Collaborate with clinic staff to support efficient patient flow and scheduling
- Adhere to HIPAA and clinic policies while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Pursue CME requirements to maintain vascular ultrasound credentials
Education
- RVT, RVS, or RPhS certification or eligibility to obtain within 90 days
- Completion of accredited vascular or diagnostic medical sonography program preferred
- Basic Life Support (AHA) certification required
- Ongoing CME to maintain vascular credentials
