About the Role:
We're looking for an engineer to join our SRE team which hosts platform and the underlying services in cloud platforms for our clients. On the Platform Team you'll work with engineers on the infrastructure teams as we tackle problems of tooling, deployment, observability, performance, architecture, and lots of other fun stuff. Our work as a team is broad - you will gain exposure to things you've never worked with and have a chance to build deeper expertise in what you do know. This is a high impact engineering role and is best suited to someone who is excited to work in a growing startup and wants the opportunity to contribute to a growing infrastructure team.
Responsibilities:
Provide support for cloud-based services and applications, focusing on AWS and Kubernetes.
Assist in deploying, monitoring, and scaling Kubernetes clusters, ensuring the stability and reliability of the production environment.
Collaborate with the team to maintain and improve multi-tenant architecture, while gaining expertise in Infrastructure, CI/CD, Automation, and Observability.
Troubleshoot infrastructure-related incidents and participate in on-call shifts.
Contribute to the optimization of system performance, security, and overall quality of service.
Learn and apply best practices in cloud infrastructure management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform.
Requirements
Strong bias toward the simplest solution to a problem
Curious about how and why things work
Experience working on a SaaS product
Experience or exposure to systems/DevOps/CloudOps or Site Reliability Engineering related roles, particularly in AWS and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with deploying, monitoring, and scaling Kubernetes clusters in a production environment with significant traffic or workloads.
Basic understanding of containers and containerization concepts.
Experience in configuring, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure using AWS services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Exposure to CI/CD systems, such as Gitlab or similar tools, in a cloud environment.
Basic understanding of Linux fundamentals.
Experience in one or more scripting languages, such as Bash or Python.
A strong interest in learning about distributed systems and the ability to dig deep, debug, and solve problems.
Eagerness to learn best engineering practices for building high-performance, reliable, and scalable applications in the cloud.
Aptitude for learning new technologies and utilizing them to optimize delivery timelines.
5 – 7 years of experience in roles like DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, Service Engineer, Systems Engineer, etc
Nice to Haves
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or other relevant AWS certifications.
Interest in obtaining certification in Kubernetes (CKA, CKAD, or CKS).
Some hands-on experience in developing cloud-native applications.
Experience working with or building Customer Data Platforms (CDP)
Hiring Range:
The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience.
