Software Engineer II
Skills
- 2+ years professional software development experience
- Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript (Django and React preferred)
- Strong understanding of relational database design and SQL querying
- Experience with testing frameworks and automated tests
- Familiarity with cloud services, preferably AWS
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows
- Solid understanding of API design and web service integration
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and test backend and frontend features primarily in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript with maintainable architecture
- Collaborate with product managers, QA, and stakeholders to shape requirements and deliver features using Agile practices
- Integrate with third-party systems (Digifi.io, Salesforce, AVM providers, credit bureaus, Segment, Camunda)
- Maintain code quality through peer reviews, automated testing, and clear documentation
- Take ownership of critical features and contribute to technical planning and scalable solutions
- Provide constructive feedback to teammates and engineering leadership on processes and projects
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Formal or equivalent training in software engineering fundamentals (preferred)
