Location: Remote-friendly work environment
Compensation: $110000 - $150000 / Annually
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize AWS-based infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Oversee Linux server administration, including configuration, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support reliable deployments.
- Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure using AWS CDK.
- Implement security best practices, monitoring, and incident response processes.
- Partner with the development team to support application performance and uptime.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for infrastructure-related issues.
What You’ll Have
- 5+ years of hands-on DevOps or systems engineering experience.
- Strong AWS expertise, including significant experience with AWS CDK
- Strong container experience (Docker and ECS).
- Proven Linux server administration skills (Ubuntu or similar distributions).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab CI/CD or similar).
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and system monitoring.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a small, fast-moving company.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in a SaaS or edtech environment.
- Database administration skills (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
- Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (FERPA, SOC2, GDPR).
