Job Summary:
The primary role of the Production and Operations Assistant is to ensure all elements related to the concert are in place for a successful performance. Some planning and coordination tasks with your supervisor may be completed remotely leading up to event days. The position reports to Jessica Wolfe, Director of Production and Education of UChicago Presents. For more information, please see www.chicagopresents.uchicago.edu.
This on-site position is based at the University of Chicago, with a start date in September. The role offers an anticipated schedule of 8-12 hours per week, concentrated primarily on concert or event days. Please note that the number of hours worked each week will fluctuate in accordance with UCP's event calendar, which is not consistent from week to week. As such, there will be periods of high activity as well as stretches with little or no scheduled work, for example between Thanksgiving and New Year.
This is a temporary, part-time position, offering $22 per hour and is not benefits eligible. Applicants must submit a resume AND cover letter to be considered.
