The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture is a state wide campus, with faculty based on University campuses, at Research and Extension Centers and in every Arkansas county. It consists of the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station (AES) and the Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service (CES), and is home to more than 1400 employees. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, network systems, or related areas plus one (1) year of relevant professional experience.
Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of human resources.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Windows Server, Linux administration, virtualization (Hyper-V), and Active Directory/Group Policy.
Experience with enterprise applications such as Oracle, Banner, MAPS, Argos, or Workday.
Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
Familiarity with Office 365 administration, cybersecurity best practices, and data backup/recovery solutions.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Experience supporting academic/research technology in higher education.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of data, voice, video, and wireless network systems.
Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot servers, databases, and enterprise applications.
Ability to perform system monitoring, log review, and proactive maintenance.
Strong understanding of security practices, compliance standards, and disaster recovery planning.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
Ability to train and mentor IT staff and end-users.
