Summary of Job Duties:

The Director of Student Accounts in the Treasurer's office will direct and oversee the University Cashiers, Student Accounts, Student Loan and Collections staff of the Treasurer's Office. This position will also provide guidance and information to students, parents, internal, and external contacts regarding financial matters, test and implement new functionality and systems within the Treasurer's Office, and recommend and implement changes to policy and procedures to ensure compliance with new federal, state, and university policies, procedures, and regulations. Other duties may be assigned.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial harmonious working relationships.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related field

Applicable equivalencies may be considered on the above qualifications.

  • At least three years of experience in an academic or financial setting

  • At least two years of supervisory experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field

  • Higher Education experience with student financial information

  • Experience with the Workday financial system


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources

  • Knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations, institution policies, and applicable laws

  • Ability to prepare and present oral and written information

  • Ability to interpret and apply laws, policies and procedures

  • Ability to investigate complaints, identify problems, and design corrective measures

  • Ability to plan and direct the work of others

  • Ability to test and implement software changes

  • Ability to investigate complaints, identify problems, and design corrective measures
