Analytics Lead, Health Economics

Twin Health builds AI-driven Digital Twin technology to transform metabolic care for conditions like type 2 diabetes and obesity. The Health Economics team turns real-world healthcare data into actionable economic insights; we are seeking a Lead Healthcare Economics Analyst to own end-to-end analytics for cost-of-care initiatives, quantify clinical-to-financial relationships, and shape strategic decisions across finance, commercial, and product teams.

Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL and cloud SQL platforms (e.g., Snowflake).
  • Advanced Excel modeling (Power Query, PivotTables, sensitivity analysis).
  • Proficiency in R and/or Python for statistical and ML modeling.
  • Experience with HEOR methods and healthcare financial models (PMPM, utilization, ROI).
  • Working knowledge of ICD, CPT, HCPCS and claims data structure.
  • Experience with propensity matching, difference-in-differences, and causal inference approaches.
  • Strong data storytelling and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Extract, compile, and transform internal healthcare datasets to support financial and program decisions.
  • Design and execute HEOR analyses (pre/post, propensity-matched, difference-in-differences) to quantify program impact and savings.
  • Build and evaluate financial models to estimate expected value of medical cost improvement initiatives (PMPM, utilization, ROI).
  • Develop reproducible data pipelines and optimize queries for large healthcare datasets (cloud SQL/Snowflake).
  • Analyze utilization, cost, and performance trends across commercial and Medicare populations.
  • Collaborate with commercial, analytics, engineering, and finance teams to contextualize findings and inform intervention design.
  • Summarize and present insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
  • Support vendor evaluation and ROI analyses for clinical and digital health programs.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, or related field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred (Health Economics, Public Health, Economics, Data Science).
