About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Menifee, CA

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in Menifee, CA
• Schedule: 3 sessions a week for 1.25 hours
• Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with children with autism, speech delays, and behavioral challenges
• Proficiency in ABA techniques and behavior management strategies
• Strong background in early elementary academic skills, including writing, spelling, reading comprehension, and math
• Ability to provide a structured and encouraging learning environment
• Patient, firm, and adaptable approach to tutoring
• Reliable and able to conduct in-home sessions in Menifee, CA

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, structured instruction in writing, language conventions, task organization, and executive functioning.
• Incorporate social-emotional learning (SEL) strategies to support confidence, resilience, and social skills.
• Design and adapt lessons based on informal assessments and student interests (e.g., karate, history, gaming, drumming).
• Create a safe and supportive learning environment, following an established safety and emotional regulation plan.
• Recognize and accommodate sensory and emotional needs, including use of comfort items during sessions.
• Build rapport with a student who is bright, honest, and motivated by genuine connection and intellectually respectful instruction.
• Support skill-building in self-regulation, peer interaction, and safety awareness.
