Data Science Engineer
Skills
- Proficient in building data models, pipelines, and analytical solutions using Python and SQL
- Knowledge of data architecture and engineering including ETL/ELT, orchestration tools like Airflow or dbt, and cloud storage platforms such as S3 and Redshift
- Strong fundamental understanding of analytics and machine learning
- Excellent communication skills for translating complex data insights to clients and internal teams
- Entrepreneurial mindset with problem-solving and prioritization skills
Responsibilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and subject matter experts to ideate, prototype, and develop data solutions
- Integrate and connect disparate datasets such as claims, contract rates, and demographics to support stakeholders
- Apply industry-standard data science methods and communicate insights via reports and visualizations
- Develop, maintain, and test data pipelines and workflows
- Prepare technical documentation for internal and external use
- Gather and incorporate technical and product feedback from internal customers
- Iterate rapidly focusing on delivering business value
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience or knowledge
- Open to candidates with non-traditional educational backgrounds
