About the Role

The Financial Aid Coordinator will play a crucial role in assisting students with the financial aid process, ensuring they have access to the necessary funding for their education. This position involves advising students and their families on financial aid options, preparing and processing financial aid documentation, and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide students and families through the financial aid application process, providing clear and accurate information.
• Ensure accurate processing of financial aid applications and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Evaluate and verify financial aid information, ensuring completeness and adherence to institutional policies.
• Assist students in understanding their financial aid packages and loan obligations.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation of financial aid interactions and transactions.
• Conduct financial literacy workshops to educate students on budgeting and managing educational expenses.
• Monitor and track student academic progress to ensure continued financial aid eligibility.
• Collaborate with admissions and academic departments to provide a seamless experience for students.
• Participate in recruitment and outreach events to promote financial aid opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in financial aid, admissions, or student services preferred.
• Knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in financial aid software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Enthusiasm for helping students achieve their educational goals.

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $18.00 and $21.00/hr. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
