Per Diem Mental Health Professional Development Trainer and Coach
Skills
- Knowledge of student mental health and social-emotional learning (SEL)
- Experience delivering trainings and coaching to educational professionals and caregivers
- Comfort presenting in-person and via virtual platforms
- Proficiency with laptop, camera/audio, Microsoft 365, Zoom and web-based tools
- Ability to collect and summarize data from sessions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Stable internet connection for virtual delivery
- Spanish-speaking / bilingual preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver 1–6 hour professional development presentations to school districts (in-person or virtual)
- Train and coach district staff groups (up to 12 participants) with monthly group and individual coaching sessions
- Provide regular feedback and submit coaching scores after sessions
- Offer consultation to school professionals and clinicians as requested
- Collect and report data related to trainings and coaching outcomes
- Prepare summaries of presentation events and attend PD meetings
- Travel regionally to school sites when in-person delivery is required (travel reimbursed at federal mileage rate)
Education
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Master's Degree in Education or mental health-related field preferred
- Preferred certifications: Youth Mental Health First Aid (Y-MHFA), Nurtured Heart Approach
